The Auburn - Opelika Support Group meets one Sunday each month at the First Methodist Church in Opelika. Our meetings typically start with an optional exercise session at 1:30 pm, a short-business meeting at 2:00 pm, and an educational speaker at 2:15 pm.  All are welcome to stay to chat and mingle after the meeting.

Most of our meetings take place at the First Methodist Church of Opelika, and ample parking is available behind the church. Volunteers will be at the door to guide you to the Fellowship Hall on the second floor of the church.

VIRTUAL SUPPORT GROUPS AVAILABLE

While we believe that nothing compares to choosing to meet with an in-person Support Group - we still want everyone to have the support they need at a time that is convenient to them.

In 2025, a new virtual support group called PD THRIVE will be launched. This group will meet over zoom on the second Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. beginning January 13th.  Each session will begin with an educational session on a specific Parkinson's related topic from a specialist, followed by virtual break-outs for those living with Parkinson's.
